Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002
Declaration by Minister Extending State of National Emergency
Pursuant to section 71 of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, John McGregor Carter, further extend the state of national emergency declared at 10.30am on Wednesday 23 February 2011, which I extended at 11.39am on Tuesday 1 March 2011 in Christchurch City, owing to the magnitude 6.3 earthquake that occurred on Tuesday 22 February 2011 at 12.51pm in Christchurch City, and subsequent significant aftershocks.
The state of national emergency expires with the commencement of the seventh day after the date on which this declaration is made.

Time and Date of Declaration: 3.15pm on 7 March 2011.

Amendments to the Gambling Act (Casino Gambling Equipment) Minimum Standard 2004
The Gambling Act (Casino Gambling Equipment) Minimum Standard 2004 has been amended pursuant to section 327 of the Gambling Act 2003.
These amendments will take effect on 18 March 2011.
