Education Act 1989

Amended Constitution for the Board of Trustees of Halswell Residential College (formerly Hogben School) (522)

Pursuant to section 95(1) of the Education Act 1989, the Halswell Residential College Board of Trustees shall be constituted as follows:

  • The principal of the school;
  • 1 staff representative;
  • 5 parent representatives;
  • Up to 4 persons:
    (i) co-opted by the board; or
    (ii) appointed by bodies corporate approved by the board for the purpose.

For the avoidance of doubt, sections 96, 97, 99, 101, 104 and 105 of the Education Act 1989 apply in respect of the board.

The Hogben School Board of Trustees Notice 2001, published in the New Zealand Gazette, 6 September 2001, No. 119, page 3100, is hereby revoked.

This notice shall take effect on the day after its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

Notice of Dissolution of the Board of Trustees of Whangaroa College (4) and Appointment of a Commissioner

Pursuant to section 78N(3) of the Education Act 1989, I hereby dissolve the board of trustees of Whangaroa College and appoint Chris Saunders as commissioner to replace that board.

All functions, powers and duties of the board of Whangaroa College are vested in the commissioner.

This notice takes effect the day after the date of publication.
