Declaration of State of Local Emergency

Pursuant to section 68 of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Richard Kempthorne, declare that a state of local emergency exists in Nelson Tasman Civil Defence Emergency Management Group.

This state of local emergency comes into force on the date of this declaration.

This state of local emergency expires on 21 December 2011.

Declared By: Richard Kempthorne.

Designation: Mayor, Tasman District Council.

Time and Date of Declaration: 7.20pm on 14 December 2011.

Declaration Extending State of Local Emergency

Pursuant to section 68 of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Cataldo Miccio, declare that a state of local emergency existing in Nelson City; and the Richmond and Golden Bay Wards of Tasman District, is extended owing to the consequences of the flood of 14 December 2011.

This state of local emergency comes into force at 12.00 midnight on Tuesday 20 December 2011.

This state of local emergency expires with the commencement of the seventh day after the date on which this declaration is made.

Declared By: Cataldo Miccio.

Designation: Person appointed and authorised by the Civil Defence Emergency Management Group to declare a state of local emergency for its area.

Time and Date of Declaration: 2.20pm on 20 December 2011.
