Reserves Act 1977

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How to Utilise Proceeds of Sale

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations Manager for the Southland Conservancy of the Department of Conservation revokes the reservation as a local purpose (road) reserve over the land described in the Schedule, and declares that the land may be disposed of by the Council in such manner, at a price and on terms and conditions as the council determines, the proceeds from a sale to be paid into the Council’s reserves account, such money to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other reserves under the control of the Council or in or towards the purchase of other land for reserves.

Declaration That Land is a Reserve

Under section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, the Hutt City Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it, resolved on 10 October 2011 that the entire property held by the Council in fee simple and described in the Schedule hereto shall be and is hereby declared to be a scenic reserve for the purposes specified in section 19(1)(a) of the Act.

Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993

**Redefining the Purposes of a Maori Reservation***

Pursuant to section 338(5)(c) of Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Māori Land Court, the purpose for which the Māori reservation in respect of the land described in the Schedule hereto, which was created by notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 13 February 1964, No. 7, page 182, is hereby redefined as for the purpose of a meeting place, recreation ground, sports ground and marae for the common use and benefit of the Māori people of Tuakau district generally, to be known as the Nga Tai E Rua Marae.
