Notice of Revocation of Approval of a Community Service

The Deputy Chief Executive of Child, Youth and Family gives notice that the approval of River of Tyme Charitable Trust as a community service, pursuant to section 403 of the Children, Young Persons, and Their Families Act 1989, was revoked on 8 December 2011, in accordance with section 405(1) of the Children, Young Persons, and Their Families Act 1989.

Road User Charges Regulations 1978

Approval of Electronic Distance Recorder

Pursuant to Regulation 6A of the Road User Charges Regulations 1978, I give notice of the approval on 9 December 2011 of the ibright® as an electronic distance recorder for use as an alternative to a hubodometer.

The approval came into effect on 9 December 2011.

Notice of Variation of an Open Aviation Market Licence and Variation of a Scheduled International Air Service Licence

Pursuant to sections 41(1) and 42 of the State Sector Act 1988, and to a delegation from the Secretary for Transport dated 6 November 2007, I give notice that Martin Matthews, Secretary for Transport in the Ministry of Transport, has:

(a) pursuant to section 87X of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, varied the open aviation market licence issued to Pacific Blue Airlines (NZ) Limited to reflect the change in name of that airline to Virgin Australia Airlines (NZ) Limited with effect from 7 December 2011;

(b) pursuant to section 87Q of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, varied the scheduled international air service licence issued to Pacific Blue Airlines (Aust) Pty Ltd to reflect the change in name of that airline to Virgin Australia Airlines (SE Asia) Pty Ltd with effect from 7 December 2011;

(c) pursuant to section 87Q of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, varied the scheduled international air service licence issued to Virgin Blue International Airlines Pty Ltd (trading as V Australia) to reflect the change in name of that airline to Virgin Australia International Airlines Pty Ltd with effect from 7 December 2011; and

(d) pursuant to section 87X of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, varied the open aviation market licence issued to Polynesian Blue Limited to reflect the change in name of that airline to Virgin Samoa Ltd with effect from 7 December 2011.

Telecommunications Act 2001

Notification of Draft Code and of the Commerce Commission’s Consultation Under Clause 7, Schedule 2 of the Telecommunications Act 2001

The Commerce Commission (“Commission”) has received a proposal from the Telecommunications Carriers’ Forum for a new draft access code for the transfer of telecommunications services (“Draft Code”) for approval by the Commission under Schedule 2 of the Telecommunications Act 2001.

Under clause 7 of Schedule 2, the Commission wishes to consult on the Draft Code (including by consulting with every eligible person who has voted against the Draft Code).

Submissions are due no later than 20 working days after the date of this notice, which is 2 February 2012.

The Commission does not require the Telecommunications Carriers’ Forum to undertake any further consultation.

Under clause 7(c), the Commission must give public notice of the Draft Code.

This notice serves to satisfy this requirement.
