District Courts Act 1947

Upper Hutt District Court

Pursuant to sections 4(4) and 4A(2) of the District Courts Act 1947, I order that from 1 December 2011, sittings of the Upper Hutt District Court shall be held in Lower Hutt.

Until further notice the office of the Lower Hutt District Court shall also be the office of the Upper Hutt District Court.

Because of the closure of the Masterton Courthouse for remedial work to address earthquake safety issues, the registry function for the High Court at Masterton will, from 9.00am on Thursday 1 December 2011 until further notice, be carried out by the High Court Registry at Wellington.

Documents for the Masterton Registry may be filed at the Wellington High Court, 2 Molesworth Street, Wellington 6140.

Filing may be undertaken in person or by mail.
