Revocation of Notices of Direction to Appoint a Limited Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of Karori Normal School (2874)

The notice of direction to appoint a limited statutory manager for the board of trustees of Karori Normal School (as published in the New Zealand Gazette, 26 November 2009, No. 171, page 4131) and the amendment of the notice of direction to appoint a limited statutory manager for the board of trustees of Karori Normal School (as published in the New Zealand Gazette, 7 July 2011, No. 96, page 2805) are hereby revoked under section 78M(7) of the Education Act 1989.

This notice takes effect the day after the date of its publication.

The Minister for Tertiary Education has approved the following amendment to the definitions section on page 2 of the Code.

The definition of “group students” on page 2 of the Code is deleted and the following definition is inserted:

“Group students”
Means two or more international students aged 10 and over, entering New Zealand together in an organised group and enrolling at a signatory for 12 weeks or less.

This amendment takes effect from 2 December 2011.

Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975

Ashburton Christian School (608) Board of Trustees Election Notice

Acting with authority delegated by the Minister of Education under section 101(7) of the Education Act 1989, I approve Monday 12 March 2012 as the closing date for voting in the first elections of parent representatives and a staff representative for Ashburton Christian School Board of Trustees.

I also approve Tuesday 27 March 2012 as the date for the first meeting of the Board of Trustees.

Maniototo Area School (370) Board of Trustees Mid-term Election Extension Notice

Pursuant to clause 9(2) of the Sixth Schedule to the Education Act 1989, and acting with authority delegated by the Minister of Education, I hereby extend the period for closing the poll and all subsequent actions in accordance with the Education (School Trustee Elections) Regulations 2000 for the election of parent representatives for Maniototo Area School Board of Trustees.

Voting for the elections shall now close on 30 January 2012.

This notice takes effect the day after its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
