Agricultural Compounds Special Circumstances Group Standard 2011

Pursuant to section 96B(1) of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996 (“HSNO Act”), the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) gives notice that a Group Standard is amended.

Notice

1. Title—(1) This notice is the Agricultural Compounds Special Circumstances Group Standard 2011 notice.

(2) The HSNO Act Approval Number for the Group Standard is HSR100592.

2. Purpose—The purpose of the Agricultural Compounds Special Circumstances Group Standard 2011 is to provide an efficient and effective way of managing the risks associated with substances that have certain special circumstances approvals under the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines Act 1997.

3. Commencement—The Agricultural Compounds Special Circumstances Group Standard Notice 2011 comes into force 28 days after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

4. Conditions of Group Standard—The conditions in Schedule 1 to the Group Standard are imposed on the substances and, unless otherwise specified, apply to any person who imports, manufactures, possesses, and disposes of the substance.

5. Availability—The full Group Standard, Schedules and any information incorporated by reference may be:

(a) inspected free of charge during normal business hours at the EPA office; or

(b) purchased from EPA; or

(c) viewed at www.epa.govt.nz

The Authorised Futures Dealers Notice 1997 (No. 3) Amendment Notice No. 10

Pursuant to section 38 of the Securities Markets Act 1988, the Financial Markets Authority gives the following notice.

Notice

1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as The Authorised Futures Dealers Notice 1997 (No. 3) Amendment Notice No. 10.

(2) This notice comes into force on the day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

2. Schedule amended—The Schedule to The Authorised Futures Dealers Notice 1997 (No. 3)* is amended by inserting, in the appropriate alphabetical order, the name:

“Total Utilities Management Group Limited”.

Notice of a Combined Council for the Whitireia Community Polytechnic and the Wellington Institute of Technology

Pursuant to section 222AM of the Education Act 1989, the Minister for Tertiary Education gives the following notice.

Notice

1. This notice may be cited as the Combined Council for Whitireia Community Polytechnic and Wellington Institute of Technology Notice 2011.

2. This notice shall come into force on 1 January 2012.

3. The Whitireia Community Polytechnic and the Wellington Institute of Technology councils shall be combined, effective from 1 January 2012.

4. The constitution of the Whitireia Community Polytechnic and the Wellington Institute of Technology combined council shall be comprised of 12 members in total, with six members appointed by the Minister for Tertiary Education and six members appointed by the council.

5. From 1 January 2013, the constitution of the Whitireia Community Polytechnic and the Wellington Institute of Technology combined council shall comprise of 10 members in total, with five members appointed by the Minister for Tertiary Education and five members appointed by the council.

6. From 1 January 2014, the constitution of the Whitireia Community Polytechnic and the Wellington Institute of Technology combined council shall comprise of eight members in total, with four members appointed by the Minister for Tertiary Education and four members appointed by the council.
