A general user radio licence is granted for the transmission of radio waves, by means of vehicular radar short range device radiocommunication transmitters, for the purposes of road vehicle collision mitigation and traffic safety applications, in accordance with the terms, conditions and restrictions of this notice.

This notice comes into effect on 17 November 2011.

Notice of Direction to Appoint Limited Statutory Manager/s for the Board of Trustees of Kawerau College (149)

Under to section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I direct the Secretary for Education to appoint a limited statutory manager or more than one limited statutory manager for the Kawerau College Board of Trustees.

The following functions, powers and duties of the board are vested in the limited statutory manager/s:

• All functions, powers and duties of the board as an employer (whether statutory or otherwise);
• all functions, powers and duties of the board in curriculum management including teaching and assessment practice (whether statutory or otherwise);
• all functions, powers and duties of the board to manage financial operations (whether statutory or otherwise);
• all functions, powers and duties of the board in relation to property management; and
• all functions, powers and duties of the board to manage all communications including communications with the media, communications within the school, and communications between the school and its community.

A limited statutory manager is also to advise the board on areas for improvement identified through the Education Review Office longitudinal review process.

This notice comes into effect on 17 November 2011.

The Domestic Students (Tertiary Education) Notice No. 2, 2011

Pursuant to paragraph (c) of the definition of the term "domestic student" in section 159 of the Education Act 1989, the Minister for Tertiary Education, by and through Rob McIntosh, Deputy Secretary, Tertiary, International and System Performance, Ministry of Education, acting under delegated authority, gives the following notice.

Notice

1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Domestic Students (Tertiary Education) Notice No. 2, 2011.

(2) This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

2. Persons to be treated as if they are not international students—For the purposes of Part 13 and Part 13A to Part 24 and Schedules 13 to 17 of the Education Act 1989, persons who are enrolled at tertiary education providers for the purpose of participating in industry training funded under the Industry Training Act 1992, are persons who are required to be treated as if they are not international students.
