Revocation of Notice of Direction to Appoint a Limited Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of Huntly West School (1752)

The notice of direction to appoint a limited statutory manager for the Board of Trustees of Huntly West School, published in the New Zealand Gazette, 16 September 2010, No. 120, page 3219, is hereby revoked under section 78M(7) of the Education Act 1989.

This notice takes effect the day after the date of its publication.

Amendment of Notice of Direction for Appointment of a Limited Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of Rangiriri School (1919)

Under section 78M(6) of the Education Act 1989, the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 7 June 2007, No. 61, page 1629, directing the Secretary for Education to appoint a limited statutory manager for the board of trustees of Rangiriri School is amended by this notice.

The following functions, powers and duties are vested in the limited statutory manager:

• All functions, powers and duties of the board as an employer (whether statutory or otherwise); and
• ensuring areas for improvement identified in the current and any future Education Review Office reports are implemented.

A limited statutory manager must also advise the board on the following:

• Consolidating all new and improved systems into board management practice.

Under section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I direct the Secretary for Education to appoint a limited statutory manager for the Discovery One School Board of Trustees.

The following functions, powers and duties of the board are vested in a limited statutory manager:

• All functions, powers and duties of the board as an employer (whether statutory or otherwise);
• all functions, powers and duties of the board to manage financial operations (whether statutory or otherwise); and
• all functions, powers and duties of the board to manage communications (whether statutory or otherwise) relating to the areas of employment, finance and board organisation and management.

A limited statutory manager must also advise the board on the following:

• Board organisation and management; and
• consolidating all new and improved systems into board management practice.

This notice takes effect the day of publication.

Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998

Cancellation of Licence for an Early Childhood Centre

Pursuant to Regulation 12(1)(d)(i) of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary for Education, I hereby cancel the licence dated 26 August 2011, which was granted under those Regulations to Beverly Carlton in respect of Kidz World Rutland St Two (40317), situated at 5 Rutland Street, Utuhina, Rotorua.

Cancellation of Licence for an Early Childhood Service

Pursuant to Regulation 32(1)(d)(i) of the Education (Early Childhood Services) Regulations 2008, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary for Education, I hereby cancel the licence dated 29 March 2010, which was granted under those Regulations to Leanne Tong in respect of Kindercare Learning Centres Ltd 211 T (70161), situated at 3 Avonhead Road, Avonhead, Christchurch.
