Reserves Act 1977

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve and Specifying the Manner of Disposal

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservation Support Manager for the Wellington Hawke’s Bay Conservancy of the Department of Conservation hereby revokes the reservation over the local purpose reserves described in the Schedule and declares the land may be disposed of by the Napier City Council by amalgamating the parcels in with other lands held in fee simple status which together comprise McLean Park.

Reserves Act 1977

Classification of a Reserve

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations Manager of the Southland Conservancy of the Department of Conservation changes the classification of the reserve described in the Schedule from a local purpose (camp ground) reserve to a recreation (camp ground) reserve, subject to the provisions of the Act.

Insurance (Prudential Supervision) Act 2010

Public Notice for Proposed Insurance Transfer

Notice is given by American Home Assurance Company (New Zealand Branch), trading in New Zealand as Chartis ("Company"), that the Company has applied to the Reserve Bank of New Zealand ("Reserve Bank"), under section 243 of the Insurance (Prudential Supervision) Act 2010, for approval to transfer the Company’s insurance business to Chartis New Zealand Limited (which, subject to the approval of the Reserve Bank will be renamed "Chartis Insurance New Zealand Limited" ("Chartis Insurance") on or about the date of transfer).

Chartis New Zealand Limited is a registered New Zealand company and a member of the Chartis group, of which the Company is also a member.

Subject to obtaining the Reserve Bank’s approval, the transfer will take effect on 1 December 2011 ("Transfer Date").

If the transfer is approved, all rights and obligations of the Company under contracts of insurance entered into by the Company as at the Transfer Date will be automatically transferred to Chartis Insurance.

All terms and conditions of insurance policies underwritten by the Company will remain unchanged except that from the Transfer Date, Chartis Insurance will be the insurer.

Policyholders may contact the Company directly with any concerns in relation to the proposed transfer and to obtain further information free of charge.
