David Ross Petterson, forensic accountant of Levin, was appointed liquidator of the above-named companies, pursuant to section 241(2)(a) of the Companies Act 1993.

The liquidations commenced on Monday 26 September 2011 at 7.30am.

With the exception of TARANAKI FUEL AND LUBRICANTS LIMITED, the companies are presently being administered by receivers.

Notice of Meeting of Creditors

The liquidator does not consider that a meeting of creditors should be held as at the present time the indicative liabilities of the companies materially exceed the value of their assets such that a distribution to non-preferential unsecured creditors is, at present, unlikely.

In the event that this position changes, the liquidator will advise, in writing, all creditors (at the address advised at the time of lodging their claim) of the changed position.

Accordingly no meeting of creditors will be called in the interim unless a creditor gives notice in writing to the liquidator within 10 working days after the publication of this notice, requiring a meeting to be called.

Notice to Creditors to Claim

Notice is also given that the liquidator fixes Friday 28 October 2011 as the day on or before which the creditors of the companies are to make their claims and to establish any priority their claims may have, under section 312 of the Companies Act 1993, or to be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before the debts are claimed or, as the case may be, from objecting to the distribution.
