Motor Vehicle Sales Act 2003

Consolidation of Motor Vehicle Dispute Tribunals

In accordance with section 82 of the Motor Vehicle Sales Act 2003, I hereby disestablish:

(a) one of the two Motor Vehicle Disputes Tribunals established at Auckland; and
(b) the Motor Vehicle Disputes Tribunal established at Christchurch.

These tribunals were established by a notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 19 February 2004, No. 17, page 365, and a corrigendum to that notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 1 April 2004, No. 39, page 976.

All records formerly held by these disestablished tribunals will be dealt with by the remaining Motor Vehicle Disputes Tribunal at Auckland.

The remaining Motor Vehicle Disputes Tribunals established at Auckland and Wellington are together named the "Motor Vehicle Disputes Tribunal".

The Motor Vehicle Disputes Tribunal exercises the jurisdiction created by the Motor Vehicle Sales Act 2003 for the whole of New Zealand.

The Motor Vehicle Disputes Tribunal will be administered from a central registry in the Tribunals Unit, Ministry of Justice.

Appointment of Motor Vehicle Dispute Tribunal Adjudicators

In accordance with section 83 of the Motor Vehicle Sales Act 2003, His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand has appointed

Christopher Hugh Cornwell
for a five-year term commencing 1 October 2011; and

Nicola Jan Wills
for a four-year term commencing 1 October 2011

as adjudicators to the Motor Vehicle Disputes Tribunal.

Revocation of Notice of Direction to Appoint a Limited Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of Marfell School (2192)

The notice of direction to appoint a limited statutory manager for the board of trustees of Marfell School (as published in the New Zealand Gazette, 8 October 2009, No. 148, page 3583) is hereby revoked under section 78M(7) of the Education Act 1989.

This notice takes effect the day after the date of its publication.

Under section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I direct the Secretary for Education to appoint a limited statutory manager for the Edgecumbe College Board of Trustees.

The following functions, powers and duties of the board are to be vested in a limited statutory manager:

• All functions, powers and duties of the board as an employer (whether statutory or otherwise); and
• all functions, powers and duties of the board in the management of health and safety of students and staff (whether statutory or otherwise).

A limited statutory manager must also advise the board on the following:

• Finance.
