Explanatory Note

This notice specifies five matters required to be notified by either the Commodity Levies (Fish) Order 2002 or the Constitution of SeaFIC.

They are:

  1. the rates of levy to be levied on fish under the Order;
  2. the dates on and from which the rates take effect;
  3. the Core Services Levy Rates;
  4. the Stock Specific Levy Rates; and
  5. the Total Levy Rates (which are the same as the rates of levy for the purposes of the Order).

The rates are all notified for the 1 October 2011 to 30 September 2012 Levy Year.

The notice also records for the information of Levy Payers and others:

  • the Declared Port Prices as declared by SeaFIC (column1);
  • the Core Services Levy Rates expressed on a $per tonne basis (column 2);
  • the Stock Specific Levy Rates expressed on a $per tonne basis (column 4); and
  • the Total Levy Rates expressed on $per tonne and $per kilo bases (columns 6 and 7).

The rates specified are only listed for Quota Management Areas where a TACC has been set. Areas with a Zero TACC have been excluded.

New Class of Membership of the Queen Elizabeth the Second National Trust

Pursuant to section 5(2) of the Queen Elizabeth the Second National Trust Act 1977, the Minister of Conservation, on the recommendation of the board of directors of the Queen Elizabeth the Second National Trust (β€œtrust”), hereby establishes a new class of membership of the trust by varying the class of membership of the trust known as honorary covenant member established by notice dated the 15th day of March 1990 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 29 March 1990, No. 48, page 1126, as follows:

Honorary covenant members, being either:

(a) Owners or lessees of land who have executed in favour of the trust, an open space covenant under section 22 of the Act; or

(b) Owners or lessees of land who have purchased land which is subject to an existing open space covenant under section 22 of the Act;

and who the board of directors of the trust determines by resolution to be entitled to be distinguished as honorary covenant members.
