Issue of Animal Welfare (Transport Within New Zealand) Code of Welfare 2011 (Notice No. 1733)

Fisheries Act 1996

Fisheries (Coromandel Scallop Total Allowable Catch) Notice 2011 (No. F606)

Pursuant to section 13 of the Fisheries Act 1996, the Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, after having regard to the matters specified in that section, makes the following notice.

Notice

1. Title—This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Coromandel Scallop Total Allowable Catch) Notice 2011.

2. Commencement—This notice shall come into effect the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

3. Coromandel Scallop Fishery defined—The Coromandel Scallop Fishery quota management area is the area as defined in Schedule 4 of the Fisheries (Declaration of New Stock Subject to Quota Management System) Notice 2001.

4. Total allowable catch for the Coromandel Scallop Fishery increased for 2011–12 fishing year—The total allowable catch for the Coromandel Scallop Fishery for the 2011–12 fishing year is increased to 95 tonnes meat weight in accordance with section 13(7) of the Fisheries Act 1996.

5. Total allowable catch for the Coromandel Scallop Fishery reverts—From 1 April 2012, the total allowable catch for the Coromandel Scallop Fishery reverts back to 48 tonnes meat weight in accordance with section 13(8) of the Fisheries Act 1996.
