New Zealand Geographic Board (Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa) Act 2008

Notice of the Final Determination of the Minister for Land Information on an Official Geographic Name

Pursuant to section 16 of the New Zealand Geographic Board (Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa) Act 2008 (“the Act”), notice was given in the New Zealand Gazette, on 26 August 2010, No. 108, page 2905, of a proposal by the New Zealand Geographic Board Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa (“the Board”) to alter an existing geographic name from “South Ridge” to “Hillary Ridge”.

Submissions received for this geographic name proposal were dealt with by the Board according to section 18 of the Act.

I hereby declare my final determination, made on 29 July 2011, pursuant to sections 20(2) and 20(3) of the Act, is that the name specified in the first column of the Schedule below (“the Schedule”) is now the official geographic name.

The geographic feature type that this name relates to is set out in the second column of the Schedule.

The description for this name is set out in the third column of the Schedule.

My final determination on this name shall take effect on 18 August 2011.

Pursuant to section 20(1) of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, Stephen Robert Gilbert, Land Information New Zealand, declares that, pursuant to an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule to this notice is acquired for rail purposes and vested in the Crown on the date of publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

Easement in Gross Acquired for Motorway Purposes—May Road, Mount Roskill, Auckland

Pursuant to sections 20(1) and 28 of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, Stephen Robert Gilbert, Land Information New Zealand, declares that, pursuant to an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the easement in gross described in the First Schedule to this notice is acquired over the land of Citrus Grove Limited (“the Owner”) on the terms and conditions described in the Second Schedule to this notice and shall vest in the Crown for motorway purposes on the date of publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

Easement to be Acquired

1. Interpretation:

   “Maintenance Easement Area” means that part of the land in Certificate of Title NA129D/953 (North Auckland Land Registry); marked “E” on LT 415767.

2. The Crown shall have a maintenance and access easement over the Maintenance Easement Area for the purpose.
