Acting District Court Judge Appointed

Pursuant to section 10A of the District Courts Act 1947, His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand has been pleased to appoint

James Leighton Rota, retired District Court Judge

to be an Acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction in New Zealand and to exercise the criminal jurisdiction of the District Courts, under Part 2A of the District Courts Act 1947, at such place or places and for such period or periods only as the Chief District Court Judge may fix, pursuant to section 10A of the District Courts Act 1947, for a term of two years on and from 1 July 2011.

Statement of Export Credit Office Guarantee

Given Under the Public Finance Act 1989

Pursuant to section 65ZD(3) of the Public Finance Act 1989, the Minister of Finance makes the following statement:

“On 9 February 2011, the Deputy Secretary, Financial Operations and Head of NZDMO acting for and on behalf of the Honourable Bill English, Minister of Finance on behalf of the Crown, provided a New Zealand Export Credit Office US Surety Bond Guarantee to Liberty Mutual Insurance Company to support the issue of Performance and Payment bonds on behalf of a New Zealand exporter. The New Zealand Export Credit Office guarantee liability is USD 7,930,820.18 as at 7 July 2011. A premium, commensurate with the risk, was paid for this Guarantee.”

The New Zealand Export Credit Office guarantee liability is EUR 9.2 million as at 7 July 2011. A premium, commensurate with the risk, was paid for this Guarantee.”
