Notice of Board Constitution for Continuing School and Interim Period for the Merger of Caversham School (3722), College Street School (3726) and Calton Hill School (3810)

Pursuant to a notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 21 July 2011, No. 109, page 3126, Caversham School (3722), College Street School and Calton Hill School (3726) will merge on 27 January 2012, with Caversham School (3810) being the continuing school.

Pursuant to section 156A of the Education Act 1989, I give notice that I will appoint a board to be the continuing board for the interim period as follows:

Constitution of the Board

1. The Board of Trustees of Caversham School (3722), Dunedin, as the continuing school, will be constituted as follows for the duration of the interim period:

• Up to seven trustees appointed by the Minister of Education (one of whom may be designated by the Minister as Chairperson); and
• the person appointed by the board as the new principal of the school.

Interim Period

2. The interim period will commence on 12 August 2011 and end at the close of the day before the date on which new trustees take office following an election.

This notice shall come into force on the day after its publication.

Discovery One School (1635) Board of Trustees By-Election Invalidation Notice

Pursuant to clauses 9(3) and 9(3A) of the Sixth Schedule to the Education Act 1989, and acting with authority delegated by the Minister of Education, I hereby declare invalid the by-election for the Discovery One School Board of Trustees and require a new election to be held on 16 September 2011.

Cancellation of Licence for an Early Childhood Centre

Pursuant to Regulation 12(1)(d)(ii) of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary for Education, I hereby cancel the licence dated 14 September 2007, which was granted under those Regulations to Pauline Milroy in respect of City Limits Preschool (30123), situated at 729 Grey Street, Hamilton Central, Hamilton.
