Notice of Vacancy in Seat in House of Representatives

Pursuant to section 129(1) of the Electoral Act 1993,
I, Alexander Lockwood Smith, Speaker of the House of Representatives, give notice that John McGregor Carter has resigned his seat in the House of Representatives for the Northland Electoral District with effect at 12.00 midnight on Sunday 17 July 2011, and that the seat is vacant by reason of that resignation.
