Appointments to Housing New Zealand Corporation Board
Pursuant to section 28(a) of the Crown Entities Act 2004, we hereby appoint to the Housing New Zealand Corporation Board, as established under the Housing Corporation Act 1974 (as amended by the Housing Corporation Amendment Act 2001)

Gas Act 1992
Notice of Making of Minor Amendments to Gas (Switching Arrangements) Rules 2008
In accordance with section 43R of the Gas Act 1992 ("the Act"), I give notice that I am making minor amendments to the Gas (Switching Arrangements) Rules 2008 ("the Rules").
The amendments are made under section 43G(2)(c) of the Act which provides that regulations (or rules in accordance with section 43Q) may be made "providing for arrangements to enable consumers to switch gas retailers".
In accordance with section 43R(1)(a) of the Act, the amendments to the Rules fall into four categories:
- Altering the scope of some of the Rules to align with industry best practice;
- clarifying the scope of some of the Rules;
- promoting ease of understanding and interpretation; and
- resolving minor drafting and wording issues.
In accordance with section 43R(3) of the Act, these amendments come into force on the 28th day after the date on which they are notified in the New Zealand Gazette.
The amended Rules are available from the Ministry of Economic Development website:
