Environmental Risk Management Authority

Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996

Notice of Approval of Code of Practice

Pursuant to section 79(5) of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996 (“HSNO Act”), the Environmental Risk Management Authority advises that it approved on 2 June 2010, the Code of Practice for Seamless Aluminium Compressed Gas Cylinders Manufactured to ISO 7866.

This code has been developed by Luxfer Limited and provides a means of compliance with the requirements of Regulation 10(c) of the Hazardous Substances (Compressed Gases) Regulations 2004 in respect of cylinders for the transport and use of LPG.

Pursuant to section 80(1) of the Act, this code may be inspected on request at the Wellington office of the Environmental Risk Management Authority of New Zealand, Level 1, BP House, 20 Customhouse Quay, Wellington.

Pursuant to section 80(1)(b) of the Act, the code can be downloaded from the ERMA New Zealand website

Land Notices

Conservation Act 1987

Amendment to Notice Authorising of the Exchange of Part of Conservation Land for Other Land

Pursuant to section 50A of the Conservation Act 1987, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Conservator of the West Coast Conservancy of the Department of Conservation hereby amends the notice with the above heading published in the New Zealand Gazette, 3 December 2009, No. 178, page 4332, by replacing the reference

“18.5695 Sections 1–4 SO 421029.”

in the First Schedule for the reference

“15.2027 Section 1 SO 421029.”

The amending notice under this section shall take effect as from 17 November 2009, the date of the original notice.

Revocation of a Notice Relating to a Conservation Area and Issue of a Fresh Notice

Under section 50A of the Conservation Act 1987, and by reason of an error made in the notice described subsequently, the Conservator for the East Coast Bay of Plenty Conservancy of the Department of Conservation

revokes the notice authorising an exchange of a conservation area for other land dated the 24th day of November 2009 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 3 December 2009, No. 178, page 4332, and issues the following notice as a fresh notice in its place.

Authorisation of Exchange of Conservation Area for Other Land

Under the Conservation Act 1987, the Conservator for the East Coast Bay of Plenty Conservancy of the Department of Conservation authorises the exchange of the conservation area described in the First Schedule for the land described in the Second Schedule.
