Electricity Amendment Act 2006

Prescribed Classes of Registration for Electrical Workers Including Requirements/Standards for Registration, and Limits of Work in Respect of Each Class

The Electrical Workers’ Registration Board (“the Board”) has responsibility for the registration and licensing of electrical workers.

In accordance with section 30 of the Electricity Amendment Act 2006 (“the Amendment Act”), a review has been conducted into the current classes of registration.

In accordance with sections 84, 85, and 86 of the Amendment Act, the Board gives notice of the following:

1. As from 1 April 2010, (on which date the Electricity Safety Regulations 2010 (“the Regulations”) come into force), the classes of registration set out in Table One of this notice are to form the new classes of registration; and
