Notice of Direction for Appointment of a Limited Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of Rotorua Boys’ High School (152)
Pursuant to section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I direct the Secretary for Education to appoint a limited statutory manager for the Rotorua Boys’ High School Board of Trustees because of risks to the operation of the school.
The following functions, powers and duties of the board are to be vested in a limited statutory manager:
- All functions, powers and duties of the board as an employer (whether statutory or otherwise);
- All functions, powers and duties of the board to manage financial operations (whether statutory or otherwise);
- All functions, powers and duties of the board to manage and control all property and assets (whether statutory or otherwise); and
- All functions, powers and duties of the board to manage communications (whether statutory or otherwise) including communications with the media, communications within the school, and communications between the school and its community.
This notice takes effect the day after the date of publication.

Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998
Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Notice (No. 2) 2010 (No. F511)
Pursuant to Regulation 9 of the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998, the Acting Customary Relationship Manager (Deed of Settlement Implementation Programme) at the Ministry of Fisheries (acting pursuant to a delegated authority in accordance with section 41 of the State Sector Act 1988) gives the following notice.
Notice
- Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Notice (No. 2) 2010.
(2) This notice shall come into effect on 22 January 2010.
- Interpretation—In this notice:
(a) “customary food-gathering” has the same meaning as defined in the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998.
(b) “Tangata Kaitiaki” are local dialect words that have the same meaning as “Tangata Kaitiaki/Tiaki”, a term that is defined in the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998.
(c) “Tangata Kaitiaki” means the person or persons appointed under Regulation 9 of the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998 for the management of customary food-gathering within the area/rohe moana.
(d) “area/rohe moana” means all fisheries waters enclosed by a line commencing at a point on the mean high-water mark at the mouth of Kaawa Stream at 37°30.23′S and 174°44.56′E; then proceeding in a straight line in a north-easterly
