Telecommunications Act 2001

Notification of Clarification of the Standard Terms Determination on Telecom’s Unbundled Bitstream Access Service

On 12 December 2007, the Commerce Commission ("Commission") made a standard terms determination, under section 30M of the Telecommunications Act 2001 ("the Act"), in respect of the designated access services of Telecom’s Unbundled Bitstream Access ("UBA") Service ("Decision 611") which has been amended by way of clarification under section 58 of the Act on a number of occasions.

On 4 March 2010, Commission Decision 689 further amended Decision 611 under section 58 of the Act to:

• permit batch processing of service and quarterly pricing adjustments for the UBA Service during a quarter; and
• change the timeframe within which pricing adjustments will be activated in Telecom’s billing systems to reflect current practice.

Pursuant to section 58(2) of the Act, the Commission is required to give public notice that it has amended Decision 611 for the purposes of making a clarification under section 58(1) of the Act.

Southern Fire Districts Notice, March 2010

Under section 26 of the Fire Service Act 1975, the New Zealand Fire Service Commission gives the following notice.

Notice

1. This notice is the Southern Fire Districts Notice, March 2010.
2. This notice comes into force on the day of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.
3. This notice revokes and is in substitution for all previous fire district notices for the districts listed in the Schedule.

Constitution of Fire Districts

(a) The urban areas listed in the Schedule are constituted as fire districts.

(b) The boundaries of the fire districts as listed are defined and delineated on plans held at the National Headquarters, New Zealand Fire Service, Wellington.

Authorisation of Exchange of Conservation Area for Other Land

Under the Conservation Act 1987, the Conservator for the Bay of Plenty Conservancy of the Department of Conservation authorises the exchange of the conservation area described in the First Schedule for the land described in the Second Schedule and further specifies that the land in the latter Schedule be held for conservation purposes.
