Insurance Companies’ Deposits Act 1953
Exemption From Name Restriction
Pursuant to section 22E of the Insurance Companies’ Deposits Act 1953, and acting under delegated authority of the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Economic Development, I hereby give notification that Stuart Patterson is exempt from the restriction in section 22C of the Insurance Companies’ Deposits Act 1953 on the use of the word “Insurer” in the company name Pattersons Insurerbuild Limited.
I am satisfied in terms of section 22E of the Insurance Companies’ Deposits Act 1953 that Stuart Patterson will not be carrying on specified insurance business in New Zealand.
I am further satisfied that Stuart Patterson has a legitimate reason to use the word “Insurer” for the following reasons:
- It is necessary for Stuart Patterson to use the word “Insurer” to accurately convey the nature of the business.
- There will be no public confusion from the use of the word “Insurer” in the company name.

Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Te Wharekura o Manurewa, Manurewa, Establishment
Pursuant to sections 146 and 155 of the Education Act 1989, I hereby give the following notice:

I hereby establish at Manurewa, a Year 9–13 secondary school called Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Te Wharekura o Manurewa and designate the school as a Kura Kaupapa Māori.

The school will operate in accordance with Te Aho Matua.

The special characteristics of Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Te Wharekura o Manurewa are that the whānau of Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Te Wharekura o Manurewa commit totally to the guiding principles outlined in Te Aho Matua that:
- the paramount purpose of Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Te Wharekura o Manurewa is to meet the needs of tamariki and their learning;
- all tamariki enjoy an education that respects their Tino Rangatiratanga, dignity, rights and individuality;
- the whānau undertake to educate their tamariki through Te Reo Māori total immersion as a medium of instruction;
- tamariki develop sensitivity and respect for others; and
- this education challenges them to reach their full potential in the pursuit of excellence.
The school will open for instruction at all year levels from 1 April 2010.

I hereby establish in Taumarunui, a Year 1–8 full primary school called Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Nga Iwi e Toru ki Taumarunui and designate the school as a Kura Kaupapa Māori.

The school will operate in accordance with Te Aho Matua.

The special characteristics of Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Nga Iwi e Toru ki Taumarunui are that the whānau of Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Nga Iwi e Toru ki Taumarunui commit totally to the guiding principles outlined in Te Aho Matua that:
