Gas (Safety and Measurement) Regulations 2010

Notice That Certain Types of Gas Appliances Require Approval Before Being Offered for Sale

Pursuant to Regulation 60 of the Gas (Safety and Measurement) Regulations 2010, I, Amanda Jane McDonald, Acting Deputy
Secretary, Business Services Branch, Ministry of Economic Development, under authority delegated to me by the Secretary of
Commerce pursuant to section 41 of the State Sector Act 1998, hereby give public notice that from 1 April 2011, the types
of gas appliances listed in the Schedule require approval of the Secretary before being sold or offered for sale in New Zealand.

Schedule

Product Grouping Appliance or Fitting Definition
Space heaters Cabinet heater A mobile or portable, unflued heater that is designed for indoor use and operates on liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) using an LPG gas cylinder that is self-contained within the heater, commonly known as a “cabinet heater”.

Notice of Limit of Number of Female Students That May be Enrolled at King’s High School, Dunedin (383)

Pursuant to section 146A of the Education Act 1989,
I hereby declare that King’s High School (383), Dunedin,
which is a single sex boys’ school, will be able to enrol up
to 30 female students.

Amendment of Notice of Direction for Appointment of a Limited Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of Kowhai School, Hastings (2588)

Pursuant to section 78M(6) of the Education Act 1989,
I hereby amend the notice published in the New Zealand
Gazette
, 8 April 2010, No. 40, page 1157.

The notice is amended by increasing the functions, powers
and duties of the board vested in a limited statutory manager
to include:

  • All functions, powers and duties of the board in
    curriculum management including teaching and
    assessment practice (whether statutory or otherwise).

This notice takes effect the day after the date of its
publication.

Integration Agreement

Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional
Integration Act 1975, notice is given that an integration
agreement has been signed between the Minister of Education
on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen, acting through the
Group Manager, Education, Curriculum and Performance,
Ministry of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, and
the proprietor of the following school:

Kadimah College, Newton, Auckland.

The said integration agreement was executed on
11 November 2010.
