Land Transport Act 1998

Land Transport Rules

In accordance with section 161(2) of the Land Transport Act 1998, the NZ Transport Agency, on behalf of the Minister of Transport, gives notice of the Minister’s intention to make a Rule that amends Land Transport Rule: Vehicle Lighting 2004 (Rule 32005) (the Rule), and advises that the draft Land Transport Rule: Vehicle Lighting Amendment [2011] (Rule 32005/5) is available for public comment.

The proposed amendment Rule will ensure that New Zealand’s requirements continue to reflect the needs of vehicle operators and are in line with current overseas standards and practice.

It will accommodate the use of changing lighting technology, while ensuring that vehicles continue to be operated safely.

A copy of the draft amendment Rule may be obtained by calling the NZ Transport Agency Contact Centre on freephone 0800 699 000 or is available on the website www.nzta.govt.nz/consultation/vehicle-lighting-amendment-2011/

The draft amendment Rule is also available for viewing at the NZ Transport Agency’s regional offices.

Groups and individuals who have registered an interest in the Rule have been advised of the availability of the draft amendment Rule.

Submissions close on 5 November 2010.

Māori Land Development Notice

Pursuant to section 21 of the Māori Affairs Restructuring Act 1989, the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Māori Development hereby gives notice as follows.

Notice

1. This notice may be cited as Māori Land Development Notice, Rotorua 2010, No. 4.

2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby revoked in so far as it relates to the land described in the Second Schedule.

3. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from the provisions of Part II of the Māori Affairs Restructuring Act 1989.
