Fisheries Act 1996

Fisheries (Total Allowable Catch – Kahawai) Notice 2010 (No. F560)

Pursuant to section 13 of the Fisheries Act 1996, the Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, in accordance with that section, gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title—This notice is the Fisheries (Total Allowable Catch – Kahawai) Notice 2010.

  2. Commencement—This notice comes into force on 30 September 2010.

  3. Application—This notice applies on and from 1 October 2010.

  4. Interpretation—In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires:

(a) the fishstock code referred to in the Schedule has the same meaning as in Schedule 3 of the Fisheries (Reporting) Regulations 2001; and

(b) the quota management area referred to by reference number in the Schedule is the fishery management area having the same reference number in Part I of Schedule 1 to the Fisheries Act 1996.

  1. Total Allowable Catch—On and from 1 October 2010, the total allowable catch for the fishstock in the quota management area referred to in the second column of the Schedule is the amount stated in the fourth column of the Schedule.
