Maritime Transport Act 1994

Notification of Maritime Rules

Pursuant to section 448 of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, notification is hereby given of the making of the following maritime rules:

Part 81: Commercial Rafting Operations

Part 90: Pilotage 2010

Part 91: Amendment 2010

All three rules come into force on 1 April 2011.

Maori Affairs Restructuring Act 1989

Māori Land Development Notice

Pursuant to section 21 of the Maori Affairs Restructuring Act 1989, the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Māori Development hereby gives notice as follows.

Notice

1. This notice may be cited as Māori Land Development Notice, Gisborne 2010, No. 2.

2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby revoked.

3. The lands described in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby released from the provisions of Part II of the Maori Affairs Restructuring Act 1989.

Public Works Act 1981

Declaring Railway Land to be Road—1A Rankin Avenue, Waitakere City

Pursuant to sections 24 and 30 of the New Zealand Railways Corporation Act 1981 and sections 20 and 50 of the Public Works Act 1981, Neil Stephen Buchanan, General Manager – Commercial, New Zealand Railways Corporation, pursuant to a power delegated to him under section 10 of the New Zealand Railways Corporation Act 1981 and with the prior written consent of the Minister for State Owned Enterprises, hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be road and vested in the Waitakere City Council on the date of publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

Public Works Act 1981

Notice of Intention to Take Land for Roading, Car Parking and Urban Renewal Purposes—30 Totara Avenue, New Lynn, Waitakere City

Notice is hereby given in accordance with section 23(1)(b) of the Public Works Act 1981, that the Waitakere City Council ("the Council") proposes to take all of the land situated at 30 Totara Avenue, New Lynn, Waitakere City, and more particularly described in the Schedule hereto ("the land").

The land is required for roading, car parking and urban renewal purposes.

The reasons why the Council considers it is reasonably necessary to take this interest in the land described in the Schedule are:

(a) to meet the agreed objectives embodied in the Waitakere City Council’s District Plan Change 17, that will enable New Lynn to meet the needs of a modern town centre; and

(b) to achieve the objectives of the New Lynn Transit Oriented Development project and assist in the regeneration of the New Lynn town centre.
