Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988

Notice of Initiation of Duty Reassessment for Diaries From China Exported by Everbest Printing Company Ltd

Pursuant to section 14(6) of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988, and under delegated authority from the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Economic Development, I hereby give notice that I have initiated a reassessment of the imposition of the amount of anti-dumping duty in respect of imports into New Zealand of the goods described in the Schedule to this notice.

The Minister of Commerce determined that anti-dumping duties were necessary on 8 October 2007. Notification of this was published in the New Zealand Gazette, 18 October 2007, No. 112, page 2995.

The reassessment of the anti-dumping duty will only be for exports of diaries by Everbest Printing Company Ltd.

Country of Origin
The People’s Republic of China.

Description of Goods
The subject goods that the anti-dumping duties apply to are described as:

Diaries with or without covers excluding: diaries with steel ring binders; and wallplanners.

The goods are currently classified under Tariff Item and Statistical Keys 4820.10.00 02J; 4820.90.09 01G, and 4820.90.09 29G of the Tariff of New Zealand, which classification is provided for convenience and Customs purposes only, the written description being dispositive.
