Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1989

Relinquishment of Bank Registration

Pursuant to section 71 of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1989, the name of ABN AMRO Bank N.V. was removed from the Register of Registered Banks on 29 May 2009.

Pursuant to section 65(1)(a) of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1989, the Reserve Bank has authorised ABN AMRO Bank N.V. to continue using the name ABN AMRO Bank N.V. after de-registration.

The Reserve Bank has granted this authorisation to enable ABN AMRO Bank N.V. to complete the winding up of its New Zealand business.

This authorisation will, unless amended, expire as at the close of business on 31 July 2009.

Industry Training Act 1992

Notice of Recognition for the Plastics and Materials Processing Industry Training Organisation Incorporated

Pursuant to section 5 of the Industry Training Act 1992, full recognition for the Plastics and Materials Processing Industry Training Organisation Incorporated has been granted for a further period of five years, with effect from 19 February 2009 to 19 February 2014, to set standards at Levels 1–8 on the National Qualifications Framework for the plastics industry (defined as the conversion of polymers into end products or componentry for other products, including but not limited to plastics moulding, extruding, forming, conversion and fabrication processes); glass production, glass processing and glass engineering for glass blowing and bottle manufacturing; paint, ink, resin and adhesives manufacturing; and the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector (excluding compounding of medicines in community and hospital pharmacies).
