Pursuant to sections 24 and 30 of the New Zealand Railways Corporation Act 1981, and section 20 of the Public Works Act 1981, the General Manager of the New Zealand Railways Corporation hereby declares that, an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby acquired for and on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen for railway purposes.

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1981, I, The Honourable Sir Anand Satyanand, Governor-General of New Zealand, declare the land described in the Schedule to this notice to be taken for road and shall vest in the Crown on the 14th day after the date of the publication of this Proclamation in the New Zealand Gazette.

Notice of Intention to Take Land for Road, and the Functioning Indirectly of a Road—Te Rapa, Hamilton, South Auckland Land District
Notice is hereby given that the Crown, under the provisions of section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, proposes to take the land described in the Schedules hereto (“the land”).
The land described in the Schedules to this notice is required for the Te Rapa Bypass at State Highway 1, Hamilton.
The land described in the First Schedule is required for road.
The land described in the Second Schedule is required for the functioning indirectly of a road (segregation strip).
The land described in the Third Schedule is required for local authority road as an indirect requirement of construction of the bypass.
The Project is required to cater for increasing traffic volumes and to improve the safety and efficiency of State Highway 1 and the local road network.
The owner of the land and those persons with a registered interest in it have been served with notice of the Crown’s intention to take their land and their right to object.
Any other person having the right to object may send a written objection to the Registrar, Environment Court, PO Box 7147, Auckland, within 20 working days after the date of publication of this notice.
If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be held with the right of the objector to appear and be heard personally, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be informed of the time and place of the hearing.
