For the avoidance of doubt, the requirement under paragraph 6(h) does not provide the department with any right to direct, veto or otherwise unduly influence the accreditation decisions of the building consent accreditation body. Rather, the requirement is intended to provide the department with a reasonable opportunity to:

(a) give the building consent accreditation body information that the building consent accreditation body might otherwise not be aware of; and

(b) develop or initiate contingencies the department considers are necessary in any circumstance likely to arise from the building consent accreditation body’s decision to grant or revoke accreditation.

Notice of Direction to Appoint a Limited Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of Robertson Road School (1467)

Pursuant to section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I direct the Secretary for Education to appoint a limited statutory manager for the Robertson Road School Board of Trustees because of risks to the operation of the school.

The following functions, powers and duties of the board are vested in a limited statutory manager:

• All functions, powers and duties of the board to manage financial operations (whether statutory or otherwise);
• all functions, powers and duties of the board relating to property (whether statutory or otherwise); and
• all functions, powers and duties of the board as an employer (whether statutory or otherwise).

A limited statutory manager must also advise the board on the following:

• Board organisation and management.

This notice takes effect the day after the date of publication.

Cancellation of Licence for an Early Childhood Centre

Pursuant to Regulation 12(1)(b) of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary for Education, I hereby cancel the licence dated 15 July 2008, which was granted under those Regulations to Lorraine Mamea-Hind in respect of McKendrick Early Childhood Centre (50518), situated at 112 Vivian Street, New Plymouth.

Cancellation of Licence for an Early Childhood Centre

Pursuant to Regulation 12(1)(d)(iii) of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary for Education, I hereby cancel the licence dated 7 April 2008, which was granted under those Regulations to Philippa Davidson in respect of Puddleduck’s Preschool (40246), situated at 156 Manchester Street, Feilding.

Cancellation of Licence for an Early Childhood Centre

School Establishment

Pursuant to section 146 of the Education Act 1989, I hereby establish a Year 1–8 school to be known as Mt Wellington School, at Stonemason Avenue, Stonefields, Mt Wellington, Auckland City.

The school will open for instruction at all year levels in term one of 2011.

Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975

Supplementary Integration Agreements

Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that supplementary integration agreements have been signed between the Minister of Education on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen, acting through the Group Manager, Schools and Student Support, Regional Education, Ministry of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, and the proprietors of the following schools:

• Cardinal McKeefry School, Wilton, Wellington.
• Chanel College, Masterton.
• St Mary’s School, Carterton.

The said supplementary integration agreements were executed on 29 April 2009.

Copies of the supplementary integration agreements are available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the regional office of the Ministry of Education, 19 Market Grove, Lower Hutt.
