Notification of Marine Protection Rules

Comments are invited on the proposed marine protection rules:

Marine Protection Rules Part 200 – Offshore Installations – Discharges developed under the Maritime Transport Act 1994.

Comments should be made by 12 June 2009.

Industry Training Act 1992

New Zealand Sports Turf Industry Training Organisation Incorporated

Pursuant to section 5 of the Industry Training Act 1992, full recognition for the New Zealand Sports Turf Industry Training Organisation Incorporated has been granted for a further period of five years, with effect from 7 December 2008 to 7 December 2013, to set standards at Levels 1 to 8 on the National Qualifications Framework for the sports turf industry.

Land Declared No Longer Required for Education Purposes

Pursuant to section 70A of the Education Act 1989, and pursuant to an authority delegated to me, I, Paul Dickson Burke, Group Manager Property, Ministry of Education, Wellington, hereby give the following notice.

  1. The land described in the Schedule to this notice is no longer required for education purposes.
  2. This notice shall come into force on 23 April 2009.

Public Works Act 1981

Notice of Intention to Take Land and Other Interests for Road, and the Functioning Indirectly of a Road—Te Rapa, Hamilton, South Auckland Land District

Notice is hereby given that the Crown, under the provisions of section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, proposes to take the land and the easement interest described in the Schedules hereto (“the land”).

The land described in the Schedules to this notice is required for the Te Rapa Bypass at State Highway 1, Hamilton.

The land described in the First Schedule is required for road.
The land described in the Second Schedule is required for the functioning indirectly of a road (segregation strip).

The bypass is required to cater for increasing traffic volumes and to improve the safety and efficiency of State Highway 1 and the local road network.

The owner of the land and those persons with a registered interest in it have been served with notice of the Crown’s intention to take their land and their right to object.

Any other person having the right to object may send a written objection to the Registrar, Environment Court, PO Box 7147, Auckland, within 20 working days after the date of publication of this notice.

If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be held with the right of the objector to appear and be heard personally unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be informed of the time and place of the hearing.
