Telecommunications Act 2001

Notification of Clarification of Standard Terms Determination for Telecom’s Unbundled Bitstream Access Backhaul Service Under the Telecommunications Act 2001

On 27 June 2008, the Commerce Commission (“the Commission”) issued a standard terms determination, under section 30M of the Telecommunications Act 2001 (“the Act”), in respect of Telecom’s unbundled bitstream access backhaul service (“Decision 627”).

On 19 September 2008, the Commerce Commission clarified, under section 58(1) of the Act, Decision 627.

Pursuant to section 58(2) of the Act, the Commission gives public notice that it has clarified, under section 58(1) of the Act, Decision 627.

Notification of Clarification of Standard Terms Determination for Telecom’s Unbundled Copper Local Loop Network Backhaul (Telephone Exchange to Interconnect Point) Service Under the Telecommunications Act 2001

On 27 June 2008, the Commerce Commission (“the Commission”) issued a standard terms determination, under section 30M of the Telecommunications Act 2001 (“the Act”), in respect of Telecom’s unbundled copper local loop network backhaul (telephone exchange to interconnect point) service (“Decision 626”).

On 5 March 2009, the Commerce Commission clarified, under section 58(1) of the Act, Decision 626.

Pursuant to section 58(2) of the Act, the Commission gives public notice that it has clarified, under section 58(1) of the Act, Decision 626.

Notification of Closing Date for Submissions to the Review of the Standard Terms Determination for Telecom’s Unbundled Copper Local Loop Network Backhaul (Telephone Exchange to Interconnect Point) Service Under the Telecommunications Act 2001

On 15 January 2009, pursuant to section 30R of the Telecommunications Act 2001 (“the Act”), the Commerce Commission (“the Commission”) gave public notice of its decision to commence a review under section 30R of the standard terms determination for Telecom’s unbundled copper local loop network backhaul (telephone exchange to interconnect point) service (“UCLL Backhaul STD”).

Under section 30R(5)(b) and (c) of the Act, the Commission is required to give public notice of the commencement of the review and the closing date for submissions.

Public notice was previously given on 15 January 2009 of the commencement of the review, and this notice relates to the closing date for submissions on the review.

On 19 March 2009, the Commission released its draft review of the UCLL Backhaul STD and invited interested parties to make submissions on the Commission’s draft report.

Interested parties to the determination have until 5.00pm on 3 April 2009 to submit on the Commission’s draft report.
