Imposition of Conditions on Palmerston North Airport

I, Philip Alan Powell Chitty, acting pursuant to section 9(2) of the Customs and Excise Act 1996, impose the following conditions and restrictions upon the Customs airport operated by Palmerston North Airport Limited:

Palmerston North Airport Limited must obtain Customs’ prior approval for any international arrival at or departure from Palmerston North Airport.

Palmerston North Airport Limited will give the Customs Service at least three working days’ notice of the proposed arrival or departure of any international flight at or from Palmerston North Airport.

Palmerston North Airport Limited will not allow the arrival or departure of any international flights carrying a combined total of passengers and crew in excess of 12 without the prior permission of the Customs Service.

Notice of Application to Register a Trade Name Product (Notice No. 131)

Pursuant to section 14(1) of the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines Act 1997 ("the Act"), the Director-General of the New Zealand Food Safety Authority gives notice that the following application has been made to register a trade name product under section 9(1) of the Act:

Trade Name: Methimazole Spot On

Reference: A10271

Active Ingredient and Concentration:
Methimazole 100mg/mL (10% w/v)

Formulation Type: Paste

General Use Claim: To treat and control hyperthyroidism in cats. Methimazole, the active ingredient, reduces the amount of thyroid T4 hormone produced by the thyroid gland. It will not cure the condition, but will usually control it if given for the rest of the animal’s life.

Any person may make a written submission to the director-general concerning this application.

Under sections 16 and 17 of the Act, a written submission:

(a) must state in full the reasons for making the submission; and

(b) may state any decision sought on that application; and

(c) must be received by the director-general no later than 30 working days after the date of notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
