Pursuant to section 114 of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, Ronald Alistair Jolly, Land Information New Zealand, declares the land described in the Schedule to this notice to be road which, pursuant to section 88 of the Government Roading Powers Act 1989, becomes road, limited access road and State highway and shall vest in the Crown on the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

Reserves Act 1977
Prohibition of Access Other Than by Permit to Moutohora (Whale) Island Wildlife Management Reserve
Pursuant to section 22(5) of the Reserves Act 1977, the joint management committee established under the Ngāti Awa Claims Settlement Act 2005, acting under delegated authority from the administering body of the reserve, hereby prohibits access, except under authority of a permit issued by the administering body, to that part of the Moutohora (Whale) Island Wildlife Management Reserve described in the Schedule hereto.

Change of Name of Reserve
Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Acting Conservation Support Manager for the East Coast Bay of Plenty Conservancy of the Department of Conservation declares that the Government purpose (wildlife management) reserve described in the Schedule and known as the Moutohora (Whale) Island Wildlife Management Reserve is to be known as the Moutohora (Whale Island) Wildlife Management Reserve.
