Māori Land Development Notice

Pursuant to section 21 of the Māori Affairs Restructuring Act 1989, the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Māori Development hereby gives notice as follows.

Notice

1. This notice may be cited as Māori Land Development Notice Whangarei 2009, No. 11.

2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is, in relation to the piece of land described in the Second Schedule hereto, hereby revoked.

3. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from the provisions of Part II of the Māori Affairs Restructuring Act 1989.

Public Works Act 1981

Notice of Intention to Take Land for Road—Tauranga Eastern Link Motorway, Western Bay of Plenty District

Notice is hereby given that the Crown, under the provisions of section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, proposes to take the land described in the Schedule hereto (“the land”).

The land is required for road for construction of the Tauranga Eastern Link Motorway.

The intended use is in accordance with the designation in the District Plan.

The project is required to cater for increasing traffic volumes and to improve the safety and efficiency of State Highway 2 and the local road network.

The owner of the land has been served with notice of the Crown’s intention to take the land, and his right to object.

Any other person having the right to object may send a written objection to the Registrar, Environment Court, PO Box 7147, Wellesley Street, Auckland 1141, within 20 working days after the date of publication of this notice.

If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be held with the right of the objector to appear and be heard personally unless the objector otherwise requires and each objector will be informed of the time and place of the hearing.
