Pursuant to section 14(1) of the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines Act 1997 (“the Act”), the Director-General of the New Zealand Food Safety Authority gives notice that the following application has been made to register a trade name product under section 9(1) of the Act:

Formulation Type: Suspension

General Use Claim: For broad spectrum control of sensitive mature and immature roundworms in sheep and lambs including strains of Haemonchus contortus resistant to ivermectin, moxidectin and combinations of ivermectin, albendazole and levamisole, strains of ostertagia circumcincta and trichostrongylus spp with single or multiple resistance to benzimidazoles, levamisole or macrocyclic lactones.

Any person may make a written submission to the director-general concerning this application.

Industry Training Act 1992

NZ Equine Industry Training Organisation Incorporated

Pursuant to section 5 of the Industry Training Act 1992, full recognition for the NZ Equine Industry Training Organisation Incorporated has been granted for a further period of five years, with effect from 21 December 2008 to 21 December 2013, to set standards at Levels 1 to 8 on the National Qualifications Framework for the equine industry incorporating the thoroughbred, harness and greyhound racing sectors, including administrative servicing, racing broadcasting and programming, race day and TAB operations.

Other sectors include the breeding of greyhounds and horses, equestrian sports and recreation, racecourse maintenance and farrier servicing.
