Declaration of State of Local Emergency

Pursuant to section 68 of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Christine McElwee, hereby declare that a state of local emergency exists in Taupo District.

The state of local emergency came into force at 1.19am on 5 October 2009.

This state of local emergency expires at 5.50pm on 6 October 2009 or with the commencement of the 7th day after the date on which this declaration was declared, whichever is the earliest.

Declaration Terminating State of Local Emergency

Pursuant to section 72 of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Roderick James Cooper hereby terminate the state of local emergency declared in respect of Taupo District on 5 October 2009.

The termination of the state of local emergency shall take effect from 6 October 2009 at 5.50pm.
