Pursuant to section 10A of the District Courts Act 1947,
His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand has
been pleased to appoint

Heather McGregor Simpson, C.N.Z.M., retired District
Court Judge

to be an Acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil
and criminal jurisdiction in New Zealand at such place or places
and for such period or periods only as the Chief District
Court Judge may fix, pursuant to the said section 10A of the
District Courts Act 1947, for a term of two years on and
from 13 October 2009.

Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims Act 2005

Notice of End of Process for Making and Determining Victims’ Claims

Take notice that, pursuant to Part 2 (subpart 2) of the
Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims Act 2005 (“the Act”),
compensation awarded to Terrance Michael Chadwick
was paid to the Secretary for Justice on 2 February 2009,
and the surplus was paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust
Account on 3 March 2009 on behalf of Terrance Michael
Chadwick to enable any victims of that offender to make
claims against it.

And that on 12 March 2009, notice was given by publication
in the New Zealand Gazette, 12 March 2009, No. 31, page
849, and on 14 March 2009 in the daily newspapers in
Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin,
and on 12 March 2009 on the website of the Ministry of
Justice, of the sum of money paid into the trust account, and
the entitlement of victims of the offender to claim against
this money and the manner to do so.

Under section 48(4) of the Act, the Secretary for Justice has
now paid out all of the money held in the trust account on
behalf of Terrance Michael Chadwick.

motor vehicle:
