Pursuant to sections 128 and 129 of the Sentencing Act 2002, an order was made on 29 July 2009, for the confiscation of the following motor vehicles:

1994 Honda Ascot, Registration No. AEA487.
Against: Martin Patrick Russell.

1996 Ford Fairmont, Registration No. AKQ719.
Against: John Tapara.

Anyone who has a legal interest in these vehicles should contact the Court urgently (telephone (07) 957 7700) as the Registrar may sell the vehicles.

This notice is placed pursuant to the Sentencing Regulations 2002.

Notice of Exemption for Equipment From the Health and Safety in Employment (Pressure Equipment, Cranes, and Passenger Ropeways) Regulations 1999

Pursuant to Regulation 6 of the Health and Safety in Employment (Pressure Equipment, Cranes, and Passenger Ropeways) Regulations 1999, I, Richard Steel, in exercise of the powers delegated in me by the Secretary of Labour, hereby give notice of exemption from these Regulations in their entirety to a 450mm diameter pipeline between Shell Todd Paritutu Tank Farm (New Plymouth) and Newton King Wharf (Port Taranaki), subject to the following conditions.

The conditions are:

  1. The affected pipeline extends between the following physical end points (given in terms of NZTM 2000):

    • Point 1:
      • Northing: 5675955.51
      • Easting: 1688727.40
    • Point 2:
      • Northing: 5676416.28
      • Easting: 1689392.80
  2. The affected pipeline shall have all duties in relation to it including design, construction, operation, maintenance and inspection carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Health and Safety in Employment (Pipelines) Regulations 1999 (notwithstanding (c)(iii) of the definition of “Pipeline” in those Regulations).
