Land Transport Management Act 2003

Public Availability of NZ Transport Agency 2009–2012 National Land Transport Programme

The NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) gives notice of the release of the National Land Transport Programme (NLTP), covering the three years from 2009/10 to 2011/12.

This document is now publicly available in accordance with section 108 of the Land Transport Management Act 2003.

This, the first three-year NLTP, is the result of an extensive development process during which 16 regional transport committees and the Auckland Regional Transport Authority (ARTA) developed regional land transport programmes outlining the activities they sought to be included in the NLTP.

This regional perspective enabled the NZTA to build an overview of land transport requirements across New Zealand and to balance regional and national priorities in deciding on the best investment programme to maximise value for money across the country.

The NLTP has been published and can be freely downloaded from the NZTA website

www.nzta.govt.nz

or the SmartMovez website

www.smartmovez.org.nz

Alternatively, users can purchase (at reasonable cost) printed versions through the NZTA website.

The public may also inspect the NLTP in most metropolitan and provincial public libraries throughout the country.
