✨ Racing Betting Rules Amendment

Pursuant to section 52 of the Racing Act 2003, the NEW ZEALAND RACING BOARD hereby gives notice of the following amendments to the Equalisator Betting Rules published as a Supplement to the New Zealand Gazette, 30 July 2007, No. 85, page 2215.

These Rules come into force on 10 August 2009.

Full copies of the Equalisator Betting Rules may be inspected free of charge at the venue of a Club conducting an Equalisator Betting meeting, or may be purchased from the NZ Racing Board, PO Box 38899, Wellington Mail Centre, Lower Hutt 5045.

Change #1

Rules 2(3) and 2(4) have been amended as follows:

2 Comment and application

(3) These Rules relate solely to Equalisator betting and override any regulations made by any Racing Code in relation to Equalisator betting.

(4) A copy of these Rules shall be made available to each club that is issued an Equalisator betting licence.

Change #2

Rule 3 is amended by adding the definition of Event Manager, amending Official Placings and Race Meeting definitions and removing the definition of Rules of Racing as follows:

3 Interpretation

Event Manager means the club official, or a person appointed by the club, to manage the Race Meeting.

Placings means the Dividend bearing places determined by the Event Manager or a person appointed by the Event Manager to judge the race.

Race Meeting means a meeting held on a day for the purpose of conducting Races and for which an Equalisator betting licence has been granted

Rule 4 is amended as follows:

4 Application of Rules

These Rules apply to the conduct and operation of Equalisator betting conducted at an Equalisator Race meeting.
