RACING ACT 2003
Pursuant to section 52 of the Racing Act 2003, the NEW ZEALAND RACING BOARD hereby gives notice of the following amendments to the Betting Rules published as a Supplement to the New Zealand Gazette, 25 August 2003, No. 113, page 2981.
These Rules come into force on 10 August 2009.
Full copies of the Betting Rules may be inspected on request at TAB offices, downloaded from the NZ Racing Board internet site www.nzracingboard.co.nz or may be purchased from the NZ Racing Board, PO Box 38899, Wellington Mail Centre, Lower Hutt 5045.

Rule 3.1 is amended by amending the definition (r) as follows; and removing the definition (s) "Order for Payment".
3.1 Interpretation
(r) "Official Result" in the case of:
(i) an Authorised Event is a ruling made by the official controlling body of a particular sport in respect of the result. Bets will be Settled on the Official Result unless stated otherwise; and
(ii) a Race Meeting is the determination, made in accordance with the Rules of Racing, of the official placings of Race Entrants in a Race.

Rule 4.15 is amended as follows:
4.15 Payment of Dividends, Returns and Refunds
Subject to Rule 10.8.5, Dividends, Returns and Refunds will be made available for collection, or, in the case of account betting, credited to an account, as soon as practicable after the Official Result is received.
If a Dividend, Return or Refund is subsequently altered then the Account Holder will be liable to the Board for repayment of the Dividend, Return or Refund and the Board may set off that liability against any credit funds in the account.
