Conservation Act 1987

Declaring Specially Protected Area

Under the Conservation Act 1987, pursuant to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation dated the 17th day of August 2008, the Conservator for the Otago Conservancy of the Department of Conservation declares the land described in the First Schedule to be held for the purpose of a conservation park to be known as the Hāwea Conservation Park and further declares that the land described in the Second Schedule, which is part of the Ahuriri Conservation Park (published in the New Zealand Gazette, 3 March 2005, No. 45, page 1114), shall be managed with and form part of the Hāwea Conservation Park and shall cease to be part of the Ahuriri Conservation Park.

Public Works Act 1981

Notice of Intention to Take Land for Road—State Highway 1 Kamo Bypass, Whangarei District

Notice is hereby given that the Crown, under the provisions of section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, proposes to take the land described in the Schedule hereto (“the land”).

The land described in the Schedule to this notice is required for road, namely for the State Highway 1 Kamo Bypass.

The proposed land use is in accordance with the designation under the district plan.

The owner of the land and those persons with a registered interest in it have been served with notice of the Crown’s intention to take their land and their right to object.
