St Stephen’s and Queen Victoria Schools Trust Board
Notice of Application for Approval of a Scheme
Under the Charitable Trusts Act 1957

Take notice that on 15 December 2008, an application for approval of a scheme, under the Charitable Trusts Act 1957, by the High Court was filed in the High Court at Auckland by the St Stephen’s and Queen Victoria Schools Trust Board (“the trust board”).
The application is to be heard before the High Court at Auckland on 18 March 2009 at 10.00am.
The particulars of the scheme are as follows:
- The existing provisions governing the trust are to be consolidated in one document.
- New governance, management and accountability provisions are to be introduced.
- Certain powers of the trust board are to be extended and varied.
- Typical and desirable aspects of modern charitable trust deeds, including formal organisation, are to be introduced.
- The above components are to be amalgamated in a deed of consolidation and variation of trusts.
Any person desiring to oppose the scheme must give written notice of his or her intention to do so to the Registrar of the High Court at Auckland, the trustees of the trust board and the Attorney-General, not less than seven clear days before the date of the hearing on 18 March 2009.
The applicant is the St Stephen’s and Queen Victoria Schools Trust Board, whose address for service is at the offices of the applicant’s solicitor, Brookfields Lawyers, 11th Floor, 19 Victoria Street West, Auckland (Attention: Prajna Moodley).
Documents for service on the applicant may be:
(a) posted to the solicitor at PO Box 240, Auckland 1140;
(b) left for the solicitor at document exchange for direction to DX CP 24134;
(c) transmitted to the solicitor by facsimile on (09) 379 3224.
