Land to be Set Apart for Scenic Reserve—Mawheraiti

Pursuant to section 167 of the Land Act 1948,
the Conservator of the West Coast Conservancy of the
Department of Conservation declares that, an agreement to
that effect having been entered into, the land described in
the Schedule to this notice is hereby set apart for a scenic
reserve and shall vest in the Department of Conservation on
the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand
Gazette.

Public Works Act 1981

Notice of Intention to Take Land—Adjoining State Highway 1, Ohingaiti, Wellington Land District

Notice is hereby given that the Crown, under the provisions
of section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, proposes to
take the land described in the Schedule hereto ("the land").

The land is required for road, namely the proposed
realignment of State Highway 1 from Ohingaiti to Makohine
and is presently occupied in conjunction with other
properties located in the immediate vicinity.

The proposed land use is undesignated at this stage.
The intended taking is necessary for the provision of safe
and efficient traffic flow in this area of the highway.

The owner of the land and those persons with a registered
interest in it have been served with notice of the Crown’s
intention to take their land and their right to object.

Any other person having the right to object may send a
written objection to the Registrar, Environment Court,
Tribunals Division, Department for Courts, PO Box
5027, Wellington, within 20 working days after the date of
publication of this notice.

Education Act 1989

Land Declared No Longer Required for Education Purposes

Pursuant to section 70A of the Education Act 1989,
and pursuant to an authority delegated to me, I, Paul
Dickson Burke, Group Manager Property, Ministry of
Education, Wellington, hereby give the following notice.

Notice

1. The land described in the Schedule to this notice is no
   longer required for education purposes.
2. This notice shall come into force on 12 June 2008.
