Notice of Direction for Appointment of a Limited Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of Salisbury School (Nelson) (525)

Pursuant to section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I direct the Secretary for Education to appoint a limited statutory manager for the Salisbury School (Nelson) Board of Trustees because of risks to the operation of the school and the welfare of its students.

The following functions, powers and duties of the board are to be vested in a limited statutory manager:

• All functions, powers and duties of the board as an employer (whether statutory or otherwise).

A limited statutory manager must also advise the board on the following:

• Ensuring areas for improvement identified in the current Education Review Office report are implemented.

This notice takes effect the day after the date of publication.

Amendment of Notice of Direction to Appoint a Limited Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of Aranui High School (323)

Pursuant to section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I hereby amend the notice of direction to appoint a limited statutory manager for the Aranui High School Board of Trustees, as published in the New Zealand Gazette, 7 October 2004, No. 130, page 3186, and as subsequently amended in the New Zealand Gazette, 20 January 2005, No. 22, page 511, to provide for the appointment of a second limited statutory manager because of the risk to the operation of the school.

The following functions, powers and duties of the board are to be vested in a limited statutory manager:

Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975

Supplementary Integration Agreement

Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that a supplementary integration agreement has been signed between the Minister of Education on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen, acting through the Group Manager, National Operations, Ministry of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, and the proprietor of the following school:

St Peter’s School, Beckenham, Christchurch.

The said supplementary integration agreement was executed on 17 January 2008.

A copy of the supplementary integration agreement is available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the regional office of the Ministry of Education, 39 Princess Street, Christchurch.
