Acting District Court Judge Appointed
Pursuant to section 10A of the District Courts Act 1947,
His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand
has been pleased to appoint
Patrick Jerome Toomey, retired District Court Judge
to be an Acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil and
criminal jurisdiction in New Zealand, at such place or places
and for such period or periods only as the Chief District
Court Judge may fix, pursuant to the said section 10A of the
District Courts Act 1947, for a term of one year on and from
1 April 2008.\n

Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims Act 2005
Notice of Payment into Victims’ Claims Trust Account
Take notice that, pursuant to Part 2 of the Prisoners’ and
Victims’ Claims Act 2005, compensation awarded to James Timi Martin is required to be paid to the Secretary for
Justice, and the surplus after deductions is to be held in trust
on behalf of James Timi Martin.
And that on 10 March 2008, the amount of $1,200.00 was
paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account on behalf of
James Timi Martin.
This money must be held in the trust account to enable any
victims of James Timi Martin to make claims against it.
Any person that has been a victim of James Timi Martin,
in respect of an offence for which James Timi Martin was
convicted in a Court of New Zealand, is entitled to make a
claim against the money held in the trust account on behalf
of James Timi Martin.

Order for Confiscation of Motor Vehicle
Pursuant to sections 128 and 129 of the Sentencing Act
2002, an order was made in the Invercargill District Court
on 4 March 2008, for the confiscation of the following
motor vehicle:
1991 Mazda MPV S/W, Registration No. ZM2862.
Against: Warren Bruce Robinson.
Anyone who has a legal interest in this vehicle should
contact the Court urgently (telephone (03) 211 0650) as the
Registrar may sell the vehicle.
